DURATION®

Duration Siding

DURATION® Moulding & Millwork grew out of a simple need back in 2012… a responsive supply source for moulding and millwork products that would complement existing Boral® fly ash composite trim and siding products. Early experimentation with milling and laminating techniques led to refined practices, specialized machinery and equipment, and an overall commitment to quality and consistency that resulted in DURATION® being acknowledged as a registered trademark for fly ash millwork in 2017.

board and batten

Board & Batten is a type of siding that incorporates wide vertical boards and narrow vertical strips (batten). The battens are placed over the seams of the wider boards – creating a uniquely layered look and feel. Board & Batten has become a popular design element as it can be combined with and add character to brick, stone, and more traditional horizontal siding. Board & Batten can be used for many different styles of homes, from Farmhouse and Cottage to more Modern styles.

Dutch Lap

Dutch Lap siding is a more traditional type of siding that is applied horizontally over the building exterior. While the long, narrow planks are similar to clapboard siding, Dutch Lap siding is distinct in its deep troughs and concave edge that curves into a notched overlap. This type of siding adds dramatic shadows and visual texture and is typically seen on Colonial, Gambrel, Victorian, and Greek Revival style homes. Dutch Lap siding also complements Ranch style and Bungalow homes.
